he landed on the bar top for the first time and he and a squirrel had a brief discussion before they both went their separate ways.....I got the Nikon and decided to be very still in the event the drake returned.  he did and I held my breath, but got this off before moving slightly and that was enough for him to glide down to the pool.

this leg looks like it was grabbed by an animal, or possibly a Canadian goose over on the lake......it's been 4 days and he is moving a little bit better, but is spending quite a bit more time in my yard and pool with Gizzie, Duncan and Maggie pretty much leaving them alone, even when in the yard resting......

 

Looks like it's been here a while.....
